In line with its mandate to build human capacity and enhance Skills Development in the Niger Delta Region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has concluded arrangements to train Niger Delta Youths on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Conversion Programme.

The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Conversion Training Programme which aligns with the mandate of the Niger Delta Development Commission is aimed at providing beneficiaries with veritable skills in Autogas Conversion Technology.

The programme amongst other benefits, will contribute to the development of a more reliable and sustainable transportation sector which will directly stimulate economic growth through job creation and increased demand for Autogas specialists, to further aid in the reduction of harmful emissions in line with NDDC’s commitment to environment conservation and sustainability.

Requirements for NDDC CNG Vehicle Conversion Training Programme

To be considered for the NDDC CNG Vehicle Conversion Training Programme, you must:

be indigenes from any of the nine (9) states in the Niger Delta Region.

have a minimum qualification of SSCE/WAEC in Science related subjects, OND(Sciences)/ Trade Test Certificate from any recognized institution.

be fresh graduates in engineering courses within the Niger Delta, with passion and a clear vision for CNG Conversion Technology, may also apply.

be aged 18yrs-35Yrs.

Other recognized technical qualification related to automotive, mechanical, or allied trades.

The Bursary

Twenty bursaries are available, offering women aspiring to work or progress within the health and safety profession, paid-for study for the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

The prize is available in the English language only to women based outside of the United Kingdom. Winners must undertake a minimum of 65 taught hours plus 40 recommended self-study hours and approximately 2 hours of ad-hoc tutor support.

The programme concludes with a with a two-step assessment process that consists of:

An open book examination (OBE) to assess what you know

A practical risk assessment to assess what you can do NEBOSH and L’Oréal have arranged a special course for the Bursary. This will enable you to virtually meet and network with fellow Bursary recipients. Study is via Live Online format; real-time live Zoom classes with a tutor, offering a classroom learning environment that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

The DAWN Fellowship Programme 2026 for young women feminists from the Global South (USD 1,200 monthly stipend)

Applications are now open for the 2026 DAWN Fellowship Programme. The fellowship supports young women feminists from the Global South and centres on the Political Economy of Gender-Based Violence and Conflict. It is intended for an emerging woman feminist with a demonstrated commitment to women’s rights and gender justice. The fellow will develop a project that advances critical.

understanding of how gender-based violence and conflict shape gendered power relations and amplify feminist perspectives in public discourse.

This year, the fellowship will consider applications focusing on conflict-affected contexts in Sudan, Palestine, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Projects centred on other regions will not be considered in this funding cycle.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be women feminists under the age of 40.

Applicants should be from the Global South.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to feminist principles and methodologies.

Proposals can include research, advocacy, mobilisation, resistance, or creative expression.

Proposals must align with the theme of The Political Economy of Gender-Based Violence and Conflict.

Applications are open only for projects engaging with conflict-affected contexts in Sudan, Palestine, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Only individuals are eligible to apply; applications from organisations, groups, or collectives will not be accepted.

Fellowship Benefits

Financial support

The Africa Healthcare Innovation Fellowship 2026 is open to young African professionals who are ready to learn, commit, and build.

Applicants must be citizens of an African country and currently reside on the continent, be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of application, and have a background or demonstrated experience in healthcare, public health, digital health, technology, or innovation.

Applicants should show a strong interest in healthcare innovation and digital transformation and must be able to commit the required time and effort for the full duration of the fellowship.
