Applications are now open for the 2026 NEBOSH L’Oréal International Bursary Program. The NEBOSH L’Oréal International Bursary: Enabling women in health and safety offers twenty paid-for places to study the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
The NEBOSH International General Certificate will give you invaluable knowledge and skills and a globally respected qualification that supports your current role and your long-term career
The qualification is:
Relevant to every workplace
Ideal for managers, supervisors, or anybody with health and safety management responsibilities
Perfect for those embarking on a health and safety career.
You will learn:
How to effectively manage health and safety
How to identify and control common workplace hazards
How to measure if you’ve been successful
Relevant key international standards
The Bursary
Twenty bursaries are available, offering women aspiring to work or progress within the health and safety profession, paid-for study for the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
The prize is available in the English language only to women based outside of the United Kingdom. Winners must undertake a minimum of 65 taught hours plus 40 recommended self-study hours and approximately 2 hours of ad-hoc tutor support.
The programme concludes with a with a two-step assessment process that consists of:
An open book examination (OBE) to assess what you know
A practical risk assessment to assess what you can do NEBOSH and L’Oréal have arranged a special course for the Bursary. This will enable you to virtually meet and network with fellow Bursary recipients. Study is via Live Online format; real-time live Zoom classes with a tutor, offering a classroom learning environment that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

Applications must be submitted via the online form at www.nebosh.org.uk/igcbursary.: 20 February 2026 Applications close at 5pm UK local time
09 March 2026: Judging takes place
25 March 2026: Public announcement of bursary winners
8 or 9 June 2026: Winners begin first day of study.
