Egbin PowerUp Internship Experience (SIWES) Programme 2026 for Nigerian Undergraduate Students (Monthly Stipend)

Applications are now open for the 2026 Egbin PowerUp Internship Programme. Egbin PowerUp Internship Experience equips students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, also enhancing their skills, building their confidence, and sharpening their creativity and problem-solving abilities. This Internship runs from January- June 2026. 

The programme, also known as the Egbin PowerUp Internship Programme, is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial experience, while providing selected students with monthly stipends, professional exposure, and networking opportunities.

The Egbin Power Internship Programme is a six-month paid industrial training programme targeted at eligible undergraduate students in Nigerian universities. It allows participants to gain practical experience in Nigeria’s power and energy sector while working within a structured corporate and technical environment.

Interns will work and learn at Egbin Power Plc, the largest single power-generating station in Black Africa, with an installed capacity of 1,320 megawatts, made up of six 220MW units.


Eligibility Requirement

To be considered for the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be an undergraduate student in a recognized Nigerian university
Have a minimum academic standing of Second Class Upper (2:1) or its equivalent
Be willing to participate in a six-month industrial training programme
Only students who meet these requirements will be shortlisted.
